Editorial policies

GENERAL POLICIES

Peer Review Process

  • There is a review form (can be downloaded from here) that will be filled by peer-reviewers of MVNIA or another institutions from Romania and abroad, two reviewers for each article. This double-blind peer review process is strictly confidential.
  • The review form contains appreciations about article’s originality and relevance, depending of this, the article is definitively accepted, accepted with minor or major revisions or is rejected from publication. The editorial board decide, following the evaluations, which article can be published in our journal.
  • Even in the case of the definitive acceptance, a reviewer can write some observations or improvement suggestions. Reviewers make these recommendations (sent scanned and signed by e-mail), the editorial board analyses them and the editors sent to the author the recommendations to be made for the improvement of the text and the decision of the reviewers.

Offprints

  • An offprint is available immediately upon publication and is an exact copy of author’s complete article. Offprints are provided freely to authors in either paper or digital (PDF) form.
  • All authors automatically receive a free link to the full text of their article or of the journal posted on RISR website, which will allow other people to view their work without a subscription due to the open access policy.

Ethics and Malpractice

Anti-plagiarism policy

  • Plagiarism is considered as a significant violation of truthfulness and involve stealing intellectual property from other individuals’ work.
  • RISR requires that submitted manuscripts are solely the author’s own work and not the work of the others, unless an explicit permission has been granted. This includes text, figures and tables. This also applies to the direct translations from one language into another.
  • The responsibility for plagiarism lies ultimately with the writer. The authors have to endorse that all the data in the article is real and authentic. The authors should ensure that they have written the entirely original work, and if the authors have used the work and/or words of other authors this should be appropriately quoted.
  • The authors should not publish manuscripts describing essentially the same research in more than one journal. Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently is considered unethical publishing behaviour therefore is unacceptable.
  • An editor can reject any article at any time before publication, including after acceptance if concerns arise about the integrity of the work.
  • The review have a policy of screening for plagiarism . All articles will be uploaded in the sistemantiplagiat.ro screening service and the reports will be analysed by a special commission.
