Who we are?
- In 2009, was launched the first issue of the Romanian Intelligence Studies Review (RISR), an open access and double-blind peer-reviewed academic journal with multilingual content (English, Romanian), published biannually in print and on-line by “Mihai Viteazul” National Intelligence Academy. The RISR continues the good tradition of Psychology & Mass Media journal.
- Throughout its 15 years existence, Romanian Intelligence Studies Review (RISR) has gathered in its pages some of the most prestigious names among the Romanian and foreign experts and stakeholders from the intelligence and security studies field, being recognized at national and regional level.
Vision
- Romanian Intelligence Studies Review (RISR)’s purpose is to build an academic debate forum in the fields of intelligence and security studies, as well as to offer a common platform for researchers, doctoral students and practitioners.
Mission
- The main target of RISR is to share knowledge through scientific articles based on empirical and theoretical research, case studies, analytical models and simulations, as well as through reviews of profile literature, relevant both for intelligence and security studies and other related scientific fields.

- The Romanian Intelligence Studies Review (RISR) provides a multi-disciplinary forum for scholarship and discussion on intelligence and security studies field, and related topics from political studies, social and humanities.
